The EV4, first revealed in concept form last year, is expected to launch by late 2025. Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, said the EV4 is designed for individuals who value authenticity and bold style. “It’s for people who aren’t afraid to express their identity through what they drive,” he stated. The design blends sharp edges, a low roofline, and high-tech interior elements to make a unique statement.
The EV4 will be based on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform, offering fast charging, extended range, and next-gen connectivity features. The interior is expected to include sustainable materials and minimalist controls, continuing Kia’s push toward cleaner, user-centric mobility.
Market experts see Kia’s strategy as both risky and refreshing. While hatchbacks once dominated urban landscapes, they’ve fallen out of favor amid the global SUV boom. Kia’s hope is that the EV4 can tap into shifting tastes among younger, eco-conscious drivers seeking both style and sustainability.
