Kia Corporation introduced two new electric vehicles at the 2025 Kia EV Day: the EV4 sedan and the Concept EV2. These models are part of Kia’s continued expansion in the electric vehicle market, aiming to diversify its offerings and cater to a wider range of consumers.

The EV4 will be available in both sedan and hatchback versions, marking Kia’s first foray into these body styles in its EV lineup. Built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV4 offers two battery options: a standard 58.3 kWh and a long-range 81.4 kWh. The long-range variant boasts a WLTP-certified range of 630 km, while the hatchback delivers up to 590 km, and the standard version offers 430 km.

The EV4 features a 150 kW motor capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds for the long-range model and 7.7 seconds for the standard version. With a top speed of 170 km/h, the vehicle also offers impressive efficiency with a drag coefficient of 0.23 Cd. Fast charging allows the long-range version to charge from 10-80% in just 31 minutes.

Notable for its advanced tech, the EV4 includes features like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functionality, allowing users to power external devices or feed energy back into the grid. It also supports a 30-inch wide-screen display system and features Digital Key 2.0 for smartphone access.

Manufacturing of the EV4 sedan will take place at Kia’s Autoland Gwangmyeong EVO Plant in Korea, with production set to begin in mid-March. The hatchback will be produced in Slovakia, with European deliveries starting later in 2025. Sales will begin in Korea, followed by Europe and the United States.

Alongside the EV4, Kia revealed the Concept EV2, a B-segment electric SUV that previews a future production model. Featuring vertical daytime running lights, a compact design, and rear-hinged doors, the Concept EV2 combines rugged features with city-friendly dimensions. This concept highlights Kia’s vision for the future of electric mobility.
