The Municipal Corporation (MC) of Ludhiana has begun a trial of an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the MC Zone D headquarters, which is an important step towards improving air quality and developing green technology. The trial’s goal is to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of local EV charging infrastructure.
During the trial, Tata Projects Limited staff offered extensive instruction on the installation and use of EV charging stations, which are available in a variety of categories. Tata Projects Limited’s Manoj Kapoor and Kapil Sethi showed the operation of the EV charging station at the MC Zone D headquarters, demonstrating its potential for replication in other areas such as parking lots.
MLA Gogi and MC Commissioner Dr Aggarwal emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting green technology and EV vehicles as part of their ongoing efforts to improve air quality. The trial of the station aligns with these goals, providing a practical solution for residents and visitors to conveniently charge their electric vehicles.
The MC invites residents and stakeholders to actively participate in the trial by utilizing the EV charging station at the MC Zone D office and providing feedback on their experience. This collaborative approach ensures that future developments in the EV charging infrastructure cater to the needs of the community and contribute to the overall sustainability agenda
