Magenta Mobility, a leader in electric mobility solutions, has announced its expansion into Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in its rapid growth. The company which was operational in Noida has now launched in four new key cities across the state, including Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Varanasi, with plans to later expand into other cities. This strategic move strengthens the company’s presence in India, aligning with its mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility.
Magenta Mobility aims to deploy over 2,500 electric vehicles (EVs) in Uttar Pradesh by 2025, expanding green mobility options for last-mile delivery services. This effort is part of a broader strategy to establish a comprehensive EV infrastructure across the state, providing cleaner, more sustainable transportation solutions for businesses and consumers alike.
To support its operations, Magenta has established its own AC and DC charging hubs and has formed strategic partnerships with leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs) for further network expansion. Additionally, Magenta has partnered with Jio-BP to enhance its charging infrastructure, ensuring the availability of reliable and fast charging solutions for EV users. The company will also hire over 1,200 Delivery Partners, contributing to local employment and ensuring operational capacity to meet growing demand.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Maxson Lewis, Founder & CEO of Magenta Mobility, said, “We are excited to expand our operations in Uttar Pradesh, a state with a forward-thinking EV policy that perfectly aligns with our growth plans. The state’s incentives for electric vehicle deployment, along with access to skilled workers and land for infrastructure development, create a solid foundation for our expansion. With a clear roadmap in place, we are focused on establishing a strong presence in key markets across the region, which will be instrumental in accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.”
Magenta is leveraging its national partnerships with companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Porter, Delhivery, and Kuehne+Nagel to seamlessly integrate its EV fleet into regional logistics and transportation networks. These collaborations will drive improved delivery efficiencies and accelerate the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions across key markets.
With this expansion, Magenta is positioned to play a central role in driving Uttar Pradesh’s transition to greener, more sustainable transportation, while reinforcing its commitment to innovation, local employment, and business growth across the region.
