By 2030, the well-known Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) hopes to expand into new markets and increase its worldwide footprint. The company recently revealed its plan to enter markets like the UK and Western Europe in an investor presentation. Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE), M&M’s design hub, is strategically located in Oxfordshire, England. Presently, this center is leading the charge in creating the company’s upcoming range of electric vehicles (EVs). M&M intends to further solidify its market position not just in these new areas but also in the SAARC countries, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand.
M.A.D.E. is a British organization based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Its primary goal is to develop innovative car designs and all upcoming Mahindra EVs. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, and Ranil Jayawardena, Minister of International Trade for the United Kingdom, officially opened the facility. Utilizing state-of-the-art design tools, M.A.D.E is able to oversee the full design process from conception to completion. This includes designing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Class-A surfacing, 3D digital and physical modeling, and digital visualization. The facility includes areas for both digital and physical presentations, a clay modeling studio, VR digital modeling, and a comprehensive suite for digital visualization.
By 2030, M&M plans to expand its lineup of electric vehicles by introducing seven new all-electric SUVs. These cars are meant to enthrall consumers all around the world with their strong performance, which is fueled by cutting-edge technologies and the democratization of technology. The XUV700-based XUV.e8 will be available by the end of 2024 as part of this massive rollout. New EVs from its “Born Electric” sub-brand, including models BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09, will follow, with the first model anticipated to be on sale in late 2025.
In addition, Mahindra has revealed its intentions to electrify well-known ICE models from its range, including as the Thar, Scorpio, and Bolero, which will be renamed as Thar.e, Scorpio.e, and Bolero.e, respectively. The corporation wants to offer seven electrified vehicles by 2030, and this expansion will help them get closer to that objective. To increase its market share, Mahindra is dedicated to concentrating on value innovation, client centricity, and technology breakthroughs.
