The X30 drive system for Electric Two-Wheelers (E2Ws) has been released by MAHLE SmartBike Systems. This newest advancement in the e-bike space improves the X-Series system platform with a motor, battery, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and other components.
The X30 system’s motor, which weighs just 1.9 kg and produces 45 Nm of torque, is its central component and embodies the robust, lightweight, athletic, and intelligent qualities of MAHLE products. Specifically engineered to deliver peak performance on a range of surfaces, it raises the bar for hub motors in the lightweight e-bike market.
Pulsar ONE, eShifters, HMI, iX2 or iX3 batteries, and the External Battery eX1 (e185) are all integrated with the system, making updates easy and providing access to advanced capabilities for reliable performance across the X Series.
The cutting-edge technology and user-friendly design of the X30 system demonstrate how simple it is to set up and improve cycling enjoyment. By reducing energy losses, its rear hub motor design increases efficiency by 15% in comparison to mid-drive motors. With this improvement, the eBike’s range is increased to about 190 km, promoting environmentally beneficial travel.
Bicycle manufacturers can create e-bikes with pedal assist sensors or cadence and torque sensors to accommodate a range of riding preferences thanks to the X Series platform’s flexibility. The torque sensor is a novel device that offers precise watt analysis, which allows the motor to react precisely to the input of the cyclist. The eBike can also adjust its behavior and surroundings thanks to AI and machine learning technologies.
Tailored by discipline and consumer philosophy, the MAHLE X30 system offers customisation possibilities that fit the distinct DNA of the implementing bike brand. Even with the identical system, this customisation guarantees each brand a unique riding experience.
