Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest automaker, has unveiled its ambitious “E-For-Me” blueprint, a strategy aimed at accelerating the company’s transition to electric mobility. The announcement comes ahead of Expo 2025, where the company is set to showcase its vision for a sustainable and tech-driven future.
The “E-For-Me” initiative outlines Maruti Suzuki’s plans to develop affordable, efficient, and user-centric electric vehicles (EVs) tailored to the needs of Indian consumers. The blueprint focuses on four key areas: EV production, charging infrastructure, green technology, and customer-centric services.
“Our ‘E-For-Me’ vision reflects our commitment to a cleaner, greener, and smarter future,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki. “We aim to make EVs accessible to all, ensuring they are not only environmentally friendly but also practical for everyday use.”
As part of the strategy, the automaker plans to introduce a range of electric and hybrid vehicles over the next few years, starting with models optimized for urban and semi-urban markets. The company is also working on expanding its charging network across the country in partnership with energy providers and local governments.
The blueprint aligns with India’s broader push toward electric mobility and carbon neutrality, with the government aiming to achieve 30% EV penetration by 2030. Maruti Suzuki’s move is expected to intensify competition in the Indian EV market, which is already witnessing increased activity from global and domestic players.
Industry analysts have lauded the initiative, noting Maruti Suzuki’s ability to leverage its vast manufacturing and distribution network to drive EV adoption.
The automaker plans to reveal more details about its EV lineup and technological innovations at Expo 2025, which is expected to attract global attention to India’s burgeoning automotive sector.
