The first electric vehicle from automaker Maruti Suzuki is anticipated to go on sale in 2025 and be sold through NEXA, the premium division of the company, according to a report by The Hindu Business Line.
One of the most anticipated electric cars from the Indian automaker’s lineup is undoubtedly the sports utility vehicle (SUV) eVX; earlier this month, a video of the electric SUV was posted to YouTube.
According to the article, it is anticipated to have a 50 kWh battery pack and have a range of up to 550 kilometers. Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corporation designed the vehicle.
One of the last four-wheeler manufacturers to enter the electric car market appears to be Maruti Suzuki. The eVX was initially displayed by the business during the 2023 Auto Expo and subsequently at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo. Since then, numerous street tests of the electric SUV have been observed.

An electric SUV built from the ground up, the eVX is based on Maruti Suzuki’s skateboard-specific platform. This indicates that, in contrast to other SUVs in its class, it shares nothing with any of its stablemates—not even design or specifications.
The test mule’s front is designed somewhat differently than the concept that is displayed at the expos. The headlamps are contained in single pods instead of the split configuration that appears to be the current trend, and they are marginally larger than the idea. Similar to the third-generation Swift, the rear door handle is situated on the C-pillar over on the side.
The back of the vehicle is emphasized with a high spoiler, and the taillights appear to be linked. Despite the car’s extensive camouflage and the obscurity of numerous panel details, the overall silhouette of the vehicle remains pretty faithful to the design.
The EV charging outlet is located on the front left fender. Additionally, there are cameras on the front, possibly for ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology, directly below the grille, below the inner rearview mirror, and beneath the outside rearview mirror.
Interior features – You notice a big free-standing exhibit within. This contains the infotainment system and the driver’s instrument cluster. Although there aren’t many information available, the interiors should have things like wireless charging, connected car technology, motorized driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, sunroof, and dual-zone climate control.

An estimated 60 kWh battery pack and perhaps a smaller 45 kWh unit are anticipated to power the eVX. But we will have to wait and see if we receive a single or twin motor AWD arrangement. On the other hand, 550 kilometers should be covered by the larger of the two battery packs on a single charge.
It is anticipated that the Maruti Suzuki eVX would go on sale in 2025. The eVX, which has a length of 4,300 mm, will compete with vehicles such as the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Creta EV, which is presently undergoing development and has a comparable launch schedule.
