Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an upgraded version of its eVito panel van, featuring a larger 90 kWh battery and enhanced range capabilities. The updated model is designed to meet the growing demand for commercial electric vehicles, providing an extended driving range of up to 480 kilometers on a single charge. This makes the eVito even more suitable for a variety of commercial applications, including delivery services and urban transportation.
Improved Battery and Performance
The new eVito panel van is available with two motor options. The standard version offers an 85 kW peak output motor, while a more powerful 150 kW version provides greater performance and dynamic driving. The enhanced 90 kWh battery offers not only increased range but also faster charging times, contributing to the vehicle’s efficiency for daily business operations.
Expanded Commercial Use Cases
Mercedes-Benz aims to broaden the eVito’s appeal to more commercial users. With its increased range and improved battery capacity, the eVito is well-suited for businesses that require longer journeys or have more demanding transportation needs. The vehicle’s zero-emission profile aligns with growing sustainability goals in the commercial sector.
Sustainability and Efficiency at the Core
Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans, emphasized that these improvements support the company’s commitment to locally CO₂-emission-free mobility. By offering the eVito with more range and power, Mercedes-Benz is helping businesses transition to more sustainable transport options without compromising on performance.
Mercedes-Benz’s Continued Focus on EV Innovation
This update to the eVito panel van is part of Mercedes-Benz’s ongoing efforts to lead in the electric vehicle market for commercial use. The company continues to push the boundaries of electric mobility, enhancing its portfolio of EVs to cater to diverse business needs while promoting greener, more efficient transportation solutions.
