Mercedes-Benz’s EQS SUV retails for Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The German company ships its flagship electric SUV, which is fully knocked down (CKD) at its Chakan factory, as a locally constructed kit to India. The battery-powered SUV is available in a single, fully equipped 580 4MATIC variant.

With the release of the EQS SUV and the late-year launch of the EQS sedan, India is currently the only market outside of the USA to receive two locally-assembled BEVs. The EQS SUV and sedan actually share a lot of similarities in terms of look, features, and technological specs because they are both constructed on the same platform.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV’s exterior

The gloss black panel embossed with identical motifs and the sealed-off nose with the three-pointed star in the center give the EQS SUV its distinctive appearance. The faux grille is flanked by two LED headlights connected by a DRL strip that runs the length of the bonnet. The side profile seems minimalistic thanks to flush-fitting door knobs and clean lines across the shoulder.

Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV: Specifications & Cabin Style

Numerous premium amenities can be found within the EQS SUV, including an elegant three-spoke steering wheel, an optional MBUX Hyperscreen, and electrically adjustable ventilated front seats for the utmost in comfort. The cabin is equipped with a roomy 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a complete Level 2 ADAS suite, and a freestanding 12.3-inch driver’s display.

The engine specifications of the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

A twin-motor setup that can provide a maximum combined output of 536 horsepower and 858 Nm of torque powers the EQS SUV. The motors are powered by a 122 kWh battery that can cover 809 kilometers on a single full charge. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes with the help of a 200kW charger.
