The impending release of the MG Air EV has generated the most buzz in the EV market. A small electric vehicle called the MG Air EV has been seen testing on Indian roads close to the Gujarat-based MG Motor Plant. The vehicle is anticipated to debut in 2023 towards the end of the year. The most recent spy photos confirm that it may launch on the Indian market as soon as possible.
The Wuling Air EV, which is currently being sold in Indonesia, is essentially the same vehicle as the MG Air EV. To suit the tastes of the Indian market, the car will have some design changes and MG branding. According to the spy photos, the front fascia of the car will likely have full-width DRLs in the lightbar style, a dual-barrel headlight unit stacked vertically, and a charging port with an MG badge. The car stands out from its rivals thanks to its boxy design, tiny alloy wheels, tiny taillamps, and 12-inch steel wheels with plastic hub caps.
Interior
Where it gets interesting is inside the car. Slimmer AC vents are positioned below the infotainment unit, which has a 10.25-inch twin-screen setup with displays for instrumentation and infotainment. The car’s small size makes it the perfect city vehicle because it can easily navigate traffic and narrow roads.
Battery Pack & Range
The MG Air EV will likely come with two battery pack options – 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh, delivering a claimed range of 250 kilometers and 300 kilometers, respectively. The car will feature a single electric motor that drives the front wheels, although the details are yet to be confirmed officially.
