Montra Electric has entered into a strategic partnership with Magenta Mobility to supply 100 Eviator E350L electric vehicles (EVs), aiming to enhance sustainable logistics solutions across India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Private Limited (the Small Commercial Vehicle division of Montra Electric), and Maxson Lewis, Managing Director and CEO of Magenta Mobility.
The Eviator E350L, recently unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, is a 3.5-tonne electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) equipped with advanced software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology and integrated telematics. These features are designed to optimize fleet performance, energy efficiency, and real-time diagnostics, making it suitable for various sectors including FMCG, grocery, e-commerce, and telecom.
Montra Electric will provide tailored service and charging solutions to maximize operational efficiency for Magenta Mobility’s fleet. The collaboration focuses on increasing daily mileage, supporting intercity operations, and enhancing driver comfort and safety. This initiative is expected to set new benchmarks in the EV logistics sector.
Saju Nair stated, “We are delighted to join hands with Magenta Mobility. This collaboration marks a significant step in our mission to drive electrification in commercial logistics. Our EVIATOR features innovative technology, industry-leading total cost of ownership, and will ensure maximum profitability for our customers.” Maxson Lewis added, “Magenta Mobility is committed to sustainable and efficient logistics in India, and Montra Electric’s EVIATOR perfectly aligns with our vision to revolutionize green logistics in the country”.
This partnership introduces India’s first true EV in the 3.5-tonne segment, potentially redefining standards for sustainability and performance in commercial transportation. As India continues its transition toward green mobility solutions, such collaborations are pivotal in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the logistics sector.
