Nissan has launched the all-electric N7 crossover in China, targeting budget-conscious consumers with a competitive price and extended driving range. The electric vehicle, developed in partnership with Dongfeng Motor Corporation, aims to solidify the automaker foothold in the world’s largest EV market.
The N7 is priced at 128,800 yuan (approximately $17,800), making it one of the most affordable long-range EVs available in the region. It boasts an impressive CLTC-certified range of 620 kilometers (about 388 miles), setting a new standard for cost-effective electric mobility in China.
Equipped with a 160-kilowatt electric motor, the N7 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.8 seconds. It also features advanced driver-assistance systems, a panoramic sunroof, and a large infotainment screen—amenities that are typically reserved for higher-end models.
This launch is part of Nissan’s broader strategy to rejuvenate its EV lineup and compete with both domestic Chinese brands and global rivals. The company plans to expand its EV offerings and strengthen local partnerships to stay relevant in the rapidly evolving Chinese market.
With the N7, Nissan is sending a strong signal that affordability and performance can go hand-in-hand in the EV segment. The vehicle is now available at select dealerships across China, with initial customer deliveries expected to begin in the coming weeks.
