The National Program on Career Awareness (NPOCA) and the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) have partnered to launch the ASDC National Automobile Olympiad, the organization’s flagship program, on May 31, 2022. In order to spark school students’ interest in the automotive industry and provide them with basic to advanced information, ASDC holds the Automobile Olympiad, a national-level exam. Students in grades 7 through 12 can participate in the competition’s three stages to learn about the auto industry. The Olympiad is conducted online so that students from all boards and regions of the nation can take part.

Students will be able to register for the Olympiad at no cost at www.asdc.org.in from June 10 through July 31, 2022.

“ASDC, as the Automotive Sector Skill Council, has pioneered various projects to upskill and competitively position the industry. We are always grateful to have such outstanding programs and strive to upskill and reskill the next generation for a career in the automotive sector, also believe that such programs will play a major role in the expansion of industry and employment. In the current scenario, the automobile industry standard is rapidly evolving into robotics and electric vehicles, with the electric vehicles industry expected to generate huge employment and the entire automotive industry, will become the biggest industry in the next five years” ASDC’s CEO, Mr. Arindam Lahiri, commented.

We are excited about our partnership with ASDC. Industry’s active participation will go a long way in strengthening India’s career education system, supporting individuals, industry and the country to reach their developmental goals. Said Arun Mittal, Project Director – National Program on Career Awareness [NPOCA]. This is NPOCA’s 2nd collaboration with an industry organization; last year they had conducted the BSE International Finance Olympiad.
