Mumbai-based Odysse Electric Vehicles has unveiled its latest low-speed electric scooter, HyFy, priced at ₹42,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The scooter is designed to cater to urban commuters, students, and last-mile delivery personnel, offering an affordable and eco-friendly mobility solution.
HyFy is equipped with a 250W motor and offers battery configurations of 48V or 60V, providing a top speed of 25 km/h. This speed categorizes it under low-speed EVs, exempting it from registration and driving license requirements in many Indian states. Depending on the battery choice, the scooter delivers a range of up to 89 km and requires 4 to 8 hours for a full charge.
Weighing 88 kg, the scooter boasts a payload capacity of 150 kg, making it suitable for both personal and commercial use. Key features include cruise control, a digital LED meter, reverse mode, and ample boot space. The scooter is available in five color options: Royal Matte Blue, Ceramic Silver, Aurora Matte Black, Flare Red, and Jade Green.
Nemin Vora, Founder of Odysse Electric, stated, “Our new low-speed scooter is a testament to Odysse’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. By addressing the needs of price-conscious commuters and last-mile delivery networks, our objective is to accelerate India’s shift toward cleaner, smarter mobility.”
The HyFy scooter will be available through Odysse’s network of over 150 dealerships and online platforms starting from May 10, 2025. Early customers can avail special discounts and warranty schemes.
