Ola Electric has engaged Ernst & Young (EY) to bolster regional compliance as the company transitions to a direct-to-store retail model, moving away from its previous warehouse-based distribution system.
This strategic shift involves eliminating intermediate warehousing, allowing vehicles, spare parts, and accessories to be shipped directly from the factory to retail outlets. The initiative aims to improve inventory turnover, reduce delivery times, and enhance the overall customer experience.
EY’s role encompasses ensuring regional compliance readiness across Ola Electric’s expanding retail footprint. The consultancy is expected to assist in standardizing processes and accelerating execution across various regional markets.
Ola Electric has rapidly scaled its retail presence to 4,000 stores nationwide, with 3,200 outlets launched in the past four months, marking one of the fastest retail expansions in India’s automotive sector.
This collaboration with EY reflects Ola Electric’s commitment to operational transparency and regulatory adherence as it continues to grow its market presence. The company aims to streamline its distribution network and enhance customer satisfaction through this strategic partnership.
