PURE EV, a Hyderabad-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with French climate-tech firm BE Energy to develop advanced lithium-ion battery conditioning technology. This collaboration aims to enhance battery performance, extend lifespan, and improve sustainability. The initiative focuses on optimizing battery efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing environmental impact. By reconditioning and rejuvenating existing batteries, the project is expected to lower long-term costs for electric vehicle owners, making EV adoption more economical. Additionally, this partnership aligns with global efforts to promote greener transportation solutions, reduce dependency on raw materials, and support the circular economy in the EV sector.
The partnership will combine PURE EV’s patented BatricsFaraday technology with BE Energy’s advanced battery reconditioning equipment to bring innovative solutions to the Indian market. The first facility under this collaboration is planned for Karmanghat IDA, Hyderabad, in the upcoming fiscal year, supporting India’s “Make in India” initiative.
Nishanth Dongari, Founder and MD of PURE EV, stated that the collaboration supports the company’s mission to build long-lasting electric vehicles and seeks to provide end users and financial institutions confidence in their resale value. Bertrand Coste, Founder and Global President of BE Energy, emphasized that the partnership strengthens BE Energy’s dedication to promoting sustainability in the EV industry and reducing carbon emissions through battery reconditioning.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards advancing battery technology and sustainability in India’s growing electric vehicle market.
