AutoEvTimes: The T30 is India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle. How does this technology enhance performance and charging convenience compared to other EVs?
Dinesh: The Raptee.HV T30 is India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle, designed for high performance and faster charging. Unlike conventional low-voltage EVs, high voltage reduces heat generation and energy loss, improving efficiency. This allows for better power delivery, faster acceleration, and extended range. Additionally, the T30 is compatible with public fast chargers, eliminating range anxiety and offering quick top-ups, a significant advantage over EVs reliant on proprietary charging networks. At an Out-of-Home car charging station, the T30 charges from 20-80% in just 36 minutes, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum convenience for riders. And at Home charging T30 takes just 1 hr 6 minutes to charge from 20%-80%.
AutoEvTimes: With 8,000+ registrations since launch, what strategies have helped Raptee.HV gain early traction, and how do you plan to scale production?
Dinesh: Our approach since launch has been to just focus on the top 10 cities in India which have higher propensity for 150cc & above motorcycles so that a product like T30 which is a clear upgrade for the 150cc customers will have good traction from these markets. Our Digital launch has played a vital role in ensuring the reach across India particularly in these markets.
AutoEvTimes: The T30 aims to match 300cc ICE motorcycles. What are the key factors in achieving this balance between cost, performance, and sustainability?
Dinesh: The T30 is comparable to 300cc ICE motorcycles, offering thrilling performance without compromising on cost . High-voltage architecture ensures efficient energy usage and reduced battery degradation, lowering long-term ownership costs. In-house development of electronics and battery management systems provide better control over costs while ensuring premium performance. The use of sustainable manufacturing practices further strengthens its environmental footprint.
AutoEvTimes: Raptee.HV is raising $19M for growth. What areas will this funding support, and do you foresee global expansion in the near future?
Dinesh: Raptee.HV is currently raising $19M to fuel its next phase of growth, focusing on production ramp-up, dealership expansion, and research & development. A significant portion of the funds will also go into enhancing battery technology and scaling software features for a seamless riding experience. With a strong foundation in India, global expansion is a clear goal, with plans to enter international markets within the next two years, leveraging the growing demand for high-performance electric motorcycles.
AutoEvTimes: With 156 patents and in-house electronics development, how does Raptee.HV.’s approach set it apart from competitors in the EV space?
Dinesh: Raptee.HV’s 156 patents and in-house electronics development give it a strong technological advantage over competitors. Unlike most EV startups that rely on third-party components, Raptee.HV has developed 22 proprietary PCBs and a full-stack software architecture, ensuring deeper integration, better efficiency, and unmatched performance. The company’s high-voltage platform, AI-driven power management, and machine-learning-based ride optimization set new industry benchmarks, making it a category-defining player in the electric motorcycle space.
AutoEvTimes: What’s next for Raptee.HV in terms of product innovation and market expansion, and how do you see the Indian EV landscape evolving?
Dinesh: Raptee.HV is focused on continuous innovation with a strong pipeline of new models and software updates aimed at enhancing performance, safety, and user experience. We’re working on AI-driven riding enhancements, faster charging, and advanced connectivity features to shape the next era of electric mobility.
To support this, we’re scaling production at our state-of-the-art facility in Chennai.
Our initial market rollout targets India’s top 10 cities with a strong demand for 150cc+ motorcycles—where our T30 fits as a natural upgrade. Following Chennai and Bengaluru, we’re expanding to Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, and Jaipur.
As the EV market in India evolves, Raptee.HV is poised to lead the high-performance electric motorcycle segment, delivering car-level tech in a two-wheeler form and setting new benchmarks for the industry.
