In terms of 2022, Renault India has had a difficult year. Their annual sales fell by more than 9% to just over 87k units. Renault also discontinued one of their most iconic vehicles ever sold in India, the Duster SUV, in 2022. However, that was in 2022. It is now 2023, and Renault India appears to be gearing up for a successful year.

Renault Kiger Electric SUV Spied

Renault India displayed the Kwid electric at the 2020 Auto Expo and announced plans to launch it within two years. It is now 2023, and we have yet to see the Kwid EV. That is most likely because, instead of the Kwid EV, Renault is preparing to release the Kiger EV. The first spy shots of the Kiger Electric SUV have been released. Spied: Renault Kiger Electric SUV Yes. EV Kiger. Most of us expected Renault to launch the Kwid EV, as a version of the same vehicle has already been released in a number of countries. However, with the Kiger electric spy shots now circulating on the internet, it appears that it is more or less certain it will be Renault’s first electric vehicle in India.

Expected Specs, Range

Talking Cars channel is responsible for the spy shots of the Kiger EV. Kiger Electric is identical in design to its ICE counterpart and is seen in a shade of blue similar to the one already available with Kiger petrol. The charging port is located beneath the front logo. The interiors of the Renault Kiger Electric have also been spotted. Except for the missing gear lever, the layout is similar to the Kiger petrol. Kiger EV instead has buttons and a rotating knob for selecting drive mode. A hand brake lever is also visible. The door panels, steering wheel, and seat fabric are all identical to the petrol Kiger.
