Simple Energy, a leading clean tech startup, has unveiled the Simple ONE Gen 1.5 electric scooter, offering a significant improvement in range and technology. The Gen 1.5 model now boasts an impressive range of 248 kilometers on a single charge, an upgrade from its predecessor’s 212 kilometers. This extended range promises to provide users with greater convenience and reduce the anxiety around long-distance commutes.

In addition to the enhanced range, the Simple ONE Gen 1.5 introduces a range of software upgrades. These include features like app integration for real-time data, navigation with turn-by-turn maps, and customizable dash themes. The scooter also offers a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), USB charging ports, and improved ride modes, all designed to make the riding experience smarter and more enjoyable.

The updated scooter maintains the rapid acceleration capability of the Gen 1, reaching 0-40 km/h in just 2.77 seconds. Additionally, it retains its class-leading 30+ liters of under-seat storage, ensuring practicality alongside performance. The incorporation of regenerative braking, rapid brake, and a new park assist system with both forward and reverse movement further enhances the scooter’s safety and maneuverability.

Customers can find the new Simple ONE Gen 1.5 in Simple Energy showrooms, and the existing Simple ONE owners can receive the updates via software. Despite all the upgrades, the company has kept the pricing the same as the Gen 1 model, at Rs 1,66,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), which includes a 750W charger.

Suhas Rajkumar, the Founder & CEO of Simple Energy, expressed excitement about the launch, emphasizing their commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The company’s focus on extending the scooter’s range and enhancing key features shows their dedication to providing a reliable and efficient electric mobility solution.

Simple Energy plans to expand its presence across the country, aiming to provide more riders with access to eco-friendly electric transportation. The new Simple ONE Gen 1.5 is a step forward in making electric vehicles more efficient and accessible, combining modern technology with sustainability.
