Steelbird has aligned its strategic intent with advanced automation and innovation. It is the need of the times in lieu of changing technology and new developments in the auto sector. Steelbird’s showcase of products and solutions at Auto Expo 2023 bears testimony to this pursuit. A new upcoming manufacturing plant at Neemrana (Rajasthan) will prove to be a new benchmark in the design, research, manufacturing, and innovation of products and processes right from concept to final delivery of automotive components. Other significant achievements based on Technovation in recent times for Steelbird are as follows:

Joint Venture with TVS, Bangladesh for Manufacturing Automotive Filters:

In 2022 Steelbird announced  setting up manufacturing operations outside India, with almost 6 decades of industry experience. On the occasion of the celebration of its 58th Founder’s Day on 13th March 2022, Steelbird formalized a Joint Venture with TVS Auto Bangladesh, to manufacture best-in-class superior quality Automotive Filters. The exhaustive range of Auto Filters will be manufactured for all types of automobiles – 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, passenger cars, tractors and commercial vehicles.

Steelbird is a pioneer and market in Air Filters, Oil Filters, Fuel Filters and Cabin Filters, having established its first Automotive Filters Plant in North India in 1964. The newest collaboration underlines the coming together of Steelbird and TVS, the former poised to start manufacturing in Bangladesh to cater to the expanding Aftermarket and OEM segment, while the latter with all the experience of the market and consumers in that region will facilitate the go-to-market strategy, channel management, retail and OEM growth in Bangladesh, resulting in superior product quality & delivery, customer safety & satisfaction.

Top Supplier to OEMs Worldwide:

Steelbird today markets Auto Filters even to German OEMs, the product holding a proud 45% share in the overall portfolio, apart from other OEM customers in India and overseas, as well as brand presence in over 15 countries. Manav Kapur, Executive Director, Steelbird has authored a book titled ‘An Introduction to Automotive Filters’ which serves as an effective user’s handbook for any professional related to the category.

Technovation Enables Recent Tie-up with Leading Internation Brand HELLA:

Technology and innovation has paved the way for Steelbird to bring the best of German engineering to the doorstep of the Indian customer with the newest product category of Horns and Spark Plugs in 2022. The objective is to leverage Steelbird’s marketing and distribution strength in reaching the product to maximum retail points across the country, while the manufacturing by Hella will enable the best German Engineering in delivering a world-class product.

STEELBIRD Brings Automotive Cybersecurity to Indian OEMs from ByBELLUM of Israel:

Steelbird International will facilitate Cybellum Technologies Ltd., Israel’s premier company in the Cybersecurity domain, in introducing Cybellum’s advanced product security platform (vulnerability management, compliance validation) to Indian OEMs and component manufacturers.

“This is a breakthrough hi-tech initiative for Steelbird International. As we move in an increasingly interconnected world, the threat of cyberattacks to vehicles and the need to adopt effective solutions has also skyrocketed,” says Manav Kapur, Executive Director, Steelbird International.

He adds, “Currently, a very small percentage of vehicles, both ICEs and EVs, are protected by cybersecurity solutions while the others with their vulnerabilities, are open to attacks via a connected network. By using Cybellum’s trusted platform, manufacturers will be able to drive the technological edge in this very important area in automobile manufacturing.”

At AUTO EXPO 2023:

At the upcoming Auto Expo 2023, Steelbird is aiming to display an extensive range of Automotive Components, from over 3000 products across Filters, Rubber Parts, Lubricants, Tyres, Bearings, Horns, Spark Plugs and more.

Says Mr. Manav Kapur, Executive Director, Steelbird International, “We have made significant advances in business and our brand equity even if we compare our width and depth of our showcase from the last Auto Expo in 2020. Thanks to our steadfast commitment and initiatives to set the benchmark in terms of Technovation consistently, today we have the best brands collaborating with us, the best customers buying from us, and the best people working for us. I am proud to say that Steelbird has achieved the Great Place to Work accreditation, awarded by the Institute. The certification recognizes our company’s commitment to provide a learning-based and growth-oriented working environment. We are looking forward to fruitful discussions and opportunities at Auto Expo 2023. Our expectation is to forge partnerships with new customers, influencers, channel partners and business partners from the 1 lakh+ visitors from over 70 countries expected here during the event.”
