British EV charging brand Stevie, launched by JPL EV Ltd, has struck a strategic deal with energy‑tech company Powerverse to integrate its AI‑powered Energy Operating System (EOS) into all Stevie chargers. Homeowners and developers will now have access to smart energy features and revenue‑generating capabilities.
Under the agreement, every new build and multi‑site installation using Stevie hardware will be enabled with real‑time energy monitoring, dynamic tariff optimisation, and compatibility with solar panels and home batteries. The EOS platform also allows participation in the UK’s fast-growing flexibility and grid balancing markets.
Richard Britton, CEO of Powerverse, said that JPL’s Stevie brand already has strong traction among UK homebuilders and installers. He added that with Powerverse integration, “every install becomes a connected energy opportunity” — transforming chargers into smarter assets.
The launch is rolling out across new‑build and multi‑home developments this summer, as both companies seek to reposition EV chargers beyond regulatory compliance. According to James Clarke, director at JPL EV Ltd, the collaboration reframes chargers “no longer just a mandated installation — it’s a smart energy hub with financial returns.”
Founded in 2017, Powerverse offers the EOS – a white‑label platform powering intelligent charging, solar and battery optimisation, and access to flexibility markets via its Raya AI core. The system aims to unlock recurring revenue and increase customer loyalty for partners across the EV and home‑energy ecosystem.
JPL EV Ltd, formed in 2022, differentiates Stevie chargers through a patented design that embeds the units flush into property walls — offering a sleek and space-saving alternative. With the Powerverse partnership, the chargers now add smart‑energy appeal to their aesthetic and installer‑friendly design.
