Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has launched its OBD2-A and E20-compliant range of scooters, including the Access 125, Avenis, and Burgman Street range. These scooters can run on petrol, having an ethanol blend of up to 20%.
The E20-compliant engine will also be the first product the company offers that complies with OBD2-A standards. OBD2-A, the most recent iteration of the onboard diagnostics system, aids in the detection of system failures and illuminates the console lights to alert the rider in the event of any systemic issues with the vehicle.
Suzuki’s potent 125cc engine, which offers high performance and has been capturing riders’ hearts, is now OBD2-A and E20-compliant range according to Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India. Our goal is to gradually make all of our products compatible with E20 fuel.
In addition to Pearl Matte Shadow Green, Suzuki Burgman Street will also be available in Metallic Sonic Silver and Metallic Triton Blue. The Avenis now also come in these colors.
In addition, Suzuki Motorcycle India displayed a working prototype of its Gixxer 250 flex fuel vehicle at events sponsored by the Indian government and the Auto Expo.
