Tata Motors is set to launch the Harrier EV, targeting a real-world driving range of approximately 500 kilometers per full charge. This initiative aims to address range anxiety and solidify Tata’s position in the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Built on Tata’s acti.ev+ platform, the Harrier EV will feature a quad-wheel-drive (QWD) dual motor setup, delivering 500Nm of peak torque. This configuration is designed to enhance performance and provide a robust driving experience.

The Harrier EV is expected to include advanced features such as a multi-link rear suspension for improved ride comfort and handling. Additionally, it will offer a tech-rich cabin equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a summon mode, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities.

In comparison to other Tata EVs, the Harrier EV’s targeted range surpasses the Curvv.ev’s 425 km and the Nexon.ev’s 375 km, positioning it as a flagship model in Tata’s electric lineup.

Despite a 10.71% year-over-year decline in electric car sales, Tata remains committed to expanding its EV portfolio. The company plans to launch the Harrier EV and Sierra EV in FY26, aiming to cater to diverse customer needs.

To support the growing EV ecosystem, Tata introduced the Open Collaboration 2.0 model earlier this year. The initiative aims to double the number of charging points beyond 4,000 by 2027, in collaboration with oil marketing companies and charge point operators.
