Tata Motors has officially launched the Harrier.ev, marking a significant milestone in India’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape. Priced at an introductory ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier.ev is positioned as the flagship model in Tata’s EV lineup, which now comprises seven models. Bookings for the electric SUV will commence on July 2, 2025, reflecting Tata’s ongoing commitment to electric mobility in India.

Built on Tata’s acti.ev+ architecture, the Harrier.ev boasts a robust design, measuring 4,598 mm in length with a 2,741 mm wheelbase. The SUV features a closed grille, LED lighting, and 17-inch alloy wheels, presenting a modern and aerodynamic profile. Inside, the vehicle offers a premium experience with a 14.53-inch QLED touchscreen, multi-mood ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a 540-degree visibility system, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

Under the hood, the Harrier.ev is equipped with either a 65 kWh or 75 kWh liquid-cooled battery pack, delivering an impressive IDC range of up to 627 km on a single charge. In real-world conditions, the SUV is expected to offer a range between 480 to 505 km. The vehicle supports 120 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 0-80% charge in just 25 minutes, ensuring convenience for long-distance travel.

Performance-wise, the Harrier.ev delivers 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. The SUV offers both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options, catering to diverse driving preferences. Advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, intelligent speed assistance, and low-speed autonomous emergency braking are part of the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enhancing safety and driving comfort.

Tata Motors showcased the Harrier.ev’s off-road capabilities through the “Elephant Rock Challenge,” where the SUV successfully navigated the challenging terrain of Kerala’s Elephant Rock formation. This demonstration highlighted the vehicle’s all-wheel drive system and boost mode, emphasizing its ability to handle rugged landscapes with ease.

With the launch of the Harrier.ev, Tata Motors continues to set new benchmarks in the EV segment, offering a blend of performance, luxury, and sustainability. The SUV’s advanced features and robust capabilities position it as a formidable contender in the electric SUV market, reflecting Tata’s vision for a greener and more innovative automotive future.
