Tata Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Harrier EV, pricing it from ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch, the automaker sets a new benchmark in India’s electric SUV segment, positioning the Harrier EV as the country’s most powerful homegrown electric SUV to date.
Built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture, the Harrier EV boasts dual-motor all-wheel-drive capabilities, offering a robust and dynamic driving experience. It features a claimed range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge, positioning it as a practical long-range EV solution for Indian conditions.
The SUV maintains the bold styling of its ICE counterpart while integrating EV-specific enhancements such as a sealed grille, aerodynamic wheels, and blue accents. It comes equipped with a high-capacity battery pack and fast-charging capabilities that allow users to charge up to 80% in under an hour.
Inside, the Harrier EV features a high-tech cockpit with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, premium upholstery, and Tata’s new Arcade.ev platform for in-car entertainment. Advanced safety features like ADAS, 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control are included as standard, boosting its appeal to tech-savvy buyers.
Tata Motors emphasized that the Harrier EV has been developed entirely in India, reflecting the brand’s commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat. The vehicle is expected to strengthen Tata’s leadership in the passenger EV segment, which already includes the Nexon EV and Punch EV.
Deliveries of the Harrier EV are expected to begin later this year. With this launch, Tata Motors aims to attract premium SUV buyers looking to shift to electric without compromising on performance, luxury, or range.
