Tata Motors has officially commenced deliveries of its highly anticipated Harrier EV across India, marking a significant step in its electric vehicle expansion strategy. The move follows growing demand for premium electric SUVs in the domestic market.
Built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture, the Harrier EV features cutting-edge battery and motor technologies, offering a blend of performance, design, and sustainability. The model was first showcased at the Auto Expo and has since garnered substantial consumer interest.
The company confirmed that the initial batch of deliveries has started in major metropolitan areas, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Tata dealerships across the country have been actively notifying customers about vehicle readiness and scheduling handovers.
Harrier EV comes equipped with dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability, an estimated range of over 500 km, and ADAS features, positioning it as a strong contender in the premium EV segment. The SUV also boasts fast-charging compatibility and enhanced connectivity features.
Tata Motors aims to strengthen its leadership in the Indian EV market by expanding its premium electric lineup. The Harrier EV joins the Nexon EV and Punch EV in Tata’s growing zero-emission portfolio, catering to diverse segments and price points.
With competition heating up in India’s mid-to-premium EV space, Tata’s strategic rollout of the Harrier EV is expected to boost EV adoption and reinforce the brand’s position as a frontrunner in the country’s electric mobility transition.
