Tata Motors declared that it had produced five million units. The company produced one million cars in 2004, two million in 2010, three million in 2015, and will release its fourth millionth vehicle in 2020. The brand only needed three years to go from four million to five million.
Interestingly, Tata Motors will launch a celebratory campaign for customers and employees in India to mark the 5-million production milestone.
The company will decorate its dealership and sales locations with branded attire and the signatory mnemonic as part of the campaign to commemorate the achievement. Additionally, the business will keep up the month-long celebrations at its regional offices and manufacturing facilities.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric mobility, noted that the journey, from each million to the next, has been one replete with its fair share of ups and downs.
“We remain committed to continuously innovate and be a leading stakeholder in moving the future of mobility ahead in India with safer, smarter, and greener solutions,” he added.
