Tata Power has announced the installation of a new EV charging station in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. This installation aims to increase connection throughout Eastern Uttar Pradesh by connecting cities such as Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur. The project’s creation of a corridor from Ballia to Lucknow allows for greater accessibility for EV users.

The network’s starting point is a 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia, and it can travel over a 130-kilometer radius thanks to another 30kW charger available at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh. Sultanpur has a 30kW charger at Motel Nh56, whereas Lucknow’s Shalimar Corporate Park offers a 60kW charger.

This project advances Tata Power’s goal of aiding India’s transition to electric mobility by building an easily accessible infrastructure for EV charging and strengthening ties between Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh. The company intends to solve infrastructure gaps and meet the growing demand for electric vehicles by installing charging stations in strategic locations such as hotels, highways, shopping malls, car dealerships, and offices.

With more than 5,500 charging stations dispersed throughout several segments and a presence in over 550 cities and towns, Tata Power’s EZ Charge network is extensive. More than 100,000 home charger installations are also included. More than 1,100 bus charging stations are also part of the network, which operates in places including Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Jammu.
