Tata Power’s E-Bus Fast Charging Network Expands

By installing more than 850 charging stations in strategic cities, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of the Company and one of the biggest integrated renewable energy companies and providers of electric vehicle charging services in India, is leading the country’s shift to e-mobility.

Tata Power has enabled more than 2300 public e-buses countrywide, with charging stations positioned thoughtfully throughout more than 30 bus depots in well-known cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jammu, Srinagar, Dharwad, Lucknow, and Goa. Over one lakh tons of CO2 emissions have been effectively avoided because to the strong bus charging network. Throughout the nation, Tata Power has also planned and constructed a number of bus terminals.

The charging infrastructure of Tata Power Renewable features high-capacity fast chargers with a 180–240 KW range and an average charging duration of one to one and a half hours. Quick charging capabilities help meet the rigorous operational requirements of public transportation.

Delhi is the city with the most number of e-buses using Tata Power’s EV charging stations, while Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jammu, and Srinagar are all very close behind. Tata Power is committed to encouraging the use of e-mobility, and it is cultivating partnerships with different OEM operators and supporting the transportation companies of different state governments.
