In 2024, Terra Charge’s clientele grew. The company now has over 200 partners worldwide, including 64 new partners in India. Renowned companies such as The Leela Palace, Hotels and Resorts in Delhi, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Siri Nature Roost Resort in Chikmagalur, Sandesh The Prince in Mysore, and Themis Greekhouse in Murthal have partnered with Terra Charge in recent years. The business has set up two or three charging stations on the grounds of each of these upscale hotels.
These partnerships represent Terra Charge’s foray into upscale hospitality settings and are consistent with its objective of enabling the general public to use cutting-edge charging infrastructure. By the conclusion of FY 24–25, the CPO hopes to have 10 more hotels under its patronage, solidifying its position in the INR 82,000 core hospitality sector.
“Over the course of Terra Charge’s ten-year journey in India, we have partnered with numerous commercial and public entities across sectors to make efficient charging solutions more accessible,” stated Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge. However, we have been able to extend our pricing solutions to high-end hotels, resorts, and BYOB properties because to our partnerships with esteemed hospitality companies like Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and The Leela Palaces. This action has made it possible for us to encourage green mobility in public areas and support sustainable tourist projects. Our larger expansion objective to establish a vast public charging network and take the lead in the global EV ecosystem also includes these partnerships.
Terra Charge has set up an EV charging hub with a 30kW DC charger at the Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts in Delhi as part of these initiatives in the hospitality sector. Similarly, early in 2024, the business unveiled Takumi, a 3.3kW Made in India EV charger, to meet the changing charging needs of upscale hotel parking spaces. The charger was created to help resorts and hotels in their endeavors to offer EV charging facilities to its tourists and guests.
The company currently operates a network of 400 charging stations throughout India, including 50 live charging stations. In order to grow its worldwide charging network, the CPO is looking into more pertinent corporate alliances. In an effort to increase the efficiency and accessibility of public charging, it has partnered with the Airports Authority of India to establish charging centers powered by Japanese technology at five Indian airports. In order to help India’s EV infrastructure aspirations, Terra Charge has also constructed a public charging station in Ghaziabad that contains 70 slow chargers and a 60 kW fast DC charger. By the end of FY 24–25, the EV charging infrastructure company hopes to have 800 charging stations with about 90 live stations operating throughout India.
