In Ghaziabad, Terra Charge, a major operator in the EV charging infrastructure, has opened its newest public charging station.
This facility is now accessible to all people and is situated close to Pillar No. 682 in Village Morta on the Delhi Meerut Highway.
The hub has one DC fast charger with a 60 kW capacity and seventy slow chargers with 3.3 kW capacity each, all of which use CCS Type 2 technology. This makes it the first of its kind in Ghaziabad, offering simple charging options for fleets that are used by both public and private entities. In an effort to increase its market share in India and make cutting-edge Japanese charging technology more accessible, Terra Charge has invested Rs. 5 crore in this project.
One of the biggest public EV charging stations in India is located at our new hub in Ghaziabad, according to Mr. Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge, who expressed his excitement about the debut. He added, “We elected to maintain our charging station open to public and commercial fleets to satisfy the region’s charging requirements and facilitate large-scale adoption.”
The hub’s 71 Japanese chargers can be used with many types of electric vehicles, such as two-, three-, and four-wheelers. It is a large facility that can simultaneously charge up to 72 electric vehicles.
Terra Charge now has over 400 charging stations throughout India and runs 50 live charging stations thanks to this new hub. In order to support India’s rapidly expanding EV market, which is projected to reach $48.6 billion by 2030, the company is also looking at joint ventures.
