Transit application start-up Tummoc has launched live tracking services of DTC buses on its platform, which will allow commuters to track buses in real-time for better planning of their journey within the city.
In May 2022, the startup began offering its services in New Delhi. It gives commuters access to information about the Delhi Metro and DTC buses. Due to Tummoc‘s partnership with Rapido, users can also reserve rides for their first- and last-mile needs. To make using Delhi’s public transportation more convenient, the company is developing a number of additional features. Digital tickets for city transit are one such feature.
“After seeing a lot of positive feedback from daily commuters in Bengaluru, we’re looking forward to making strides in Delhi’s smart commute revolution as well,” said Hiranmay Mallick, Co-Founder and CEO of Tummoc. Bus live tracking is just the beginning; users can anticipate more features and updates to come soon.
The start-up claims that its multimodal application is the first to be patented in India and is currently accessible in 18 cities. The app provides accurate public transit information, simple first and last-mile connectivity, and a multimodal route planner. Digital bus passes and tickets will soon be available in Bengaluru thanks to a partnership between Tummoc and the BMTC. Bengaluru is actually the city that will have access to the bus live-tracking feature next.
