TVS Motor Company has reported a 10% year-on-year sales growth for February 2025, achieving total sales of 403,976 units compared to 368,424 units in February 2024. The company attributed this increase to strong performance in both its two-wheeler sales and electric vehicle (EV) division, as well as a sharp rise in export volumes.
Two-Wheeler Sales Surge Across Segments
The company’s two-wheeler segment saw an overall sales increase of 10%, with 391,889 units sold in February 2025, up from 357,810 units the previous year. Motorcycle sales grew by 5%, while the scooter segment posted an impressive 24% growth, reaching 164,415 units.
Electric Vehicle Sales Continue Strong Growth
TVS Motor’s EV division also experienced robust growth, with sales rising by 34%. In February 2025, the company sold 24,017 electric vehicles, up from 17,959 units in the same period last year. This reflects a growing shift towards sustainable transportation options.
Domestic Sales Reflect Modest Growth
Domestic sales saw a modest increase of 3%, reaching 276,072 units, compared to 267,502 units in February 2024. The rise was driven primarily by the company’s performance in the two-wheeler segment, especially motorcycles and scooters.
Exports Drive Increased Sales
Exports played a significant role in TVS’s growth, helping to further boost the company’s overall sales figures. The company’s export performance reflected strong demand in international markets, positioning TVS as a global player in the two-wheeler and EV segments.
Outlook for 2025 Remains Positive
Looking ahead, TVS Motor is optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory throughout 2025. With continued strong demand for both traditional and electric vehicles, the company is focused on expanding its market presence and reinforcing its leadership in the electric mobility sector.
