Bengaluru-based EV startup Ultraviolette Automotive has achieved a significant milestone with its Tesseract electric scooter, garnering over 50,000 pre-bookings worldwide. This impressive feat underscores the growing global demand for advanced electric two-wheelers and highlights Ultraviolette’s expanding international presence.
The Tesseract stands out in the electric scooter segment with its cutting-edge features, including radar-based safety systems, AI-driven vehicle monitoring, and a dynamic regenerative braking system. Equipped with a 6kWh battery pack, it offers an Indian Drive Cycle (IDC) claimed range of up to 261 kilometers on a single charge. The scooter also boasts a top speed of 125 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
Ultraviolette has introduced the Tesseract at an introductory price of ₹1.2 lakh for the first 10,000 customers, with subsequent pricing tiers set at ₹1.3 lakh and ₹1.45 lakh. This strategic pricing aims to make high-performance electric mobility more accessible to a broader audience.
In addition to the Tesseract, Ultraviolette has expanded its product lineup with the launch of the Shockwave, an enduro electric motorcycle designed for off-road enthusiasts. The Shockwave features a robust build and advanced performance capabilities, further solidifying Ultraviolette’s commitment to innovation in the electric vehicle space.
With deliveries for both the Tesseract and Shockwave slated to commence in early 2026, Ultraviolette is poised to make a significant impact on the global electric two-wheeler market. The company’s rapid growth and technological advancements reflect the accelerating shift towards sustainable and high-performance electric mobility solutions.
