Velotric has unveiled its first electric three-wheeler, the Triker, engineered for senior riders and those with mobility limitations. With a folding delta-frame design—two rear wheels and one at the front—the Triker promises stability, ease of use, and enhanced rider confidence.
Targeting users who sometimes feel excluded by traditional bicycles, the Triker incorporates a low 14.5-inch step-through height, an extended seat‑to‑handlebar reach, and a wide ComfortMax padded seat with adjustable backrest, enabling a more upright, relaxed posture with minimal effort mounting and dismounting.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a 750 W rear‑hub motor with a 1,300 W peak and 90 Nm torque, paired with a Shimano 7-speed gearset. Riders can access up to 60 miles of pedal‑assist range or 50 miles using the removable throttle, while top speeds can reach 20 mph—though it defaults to 12 mph in standard mode.
For added adaptability, the Triker features Velotric’s SensorSwap technology, allowing riders to toggle between torque or cadence pedal‑assist modes. Beginner mode limits assistance to 8 mph and only 3 PAS levels, plus a 2 mph walk mode for assisted strolling or indoor maneuvering.
Safety is front and center with a differential rear axle offering independent rear-wheel rotation, reducing tipping risk during turns. Combined with front hydraulic suspension (80 mm), puncture-resistant 3″ Kenda tires, and hydraulic disc brakes with parking brake, the Triker offers stable, smooth handling even on uneven surfaces.
The Triker also comes loaded with smart features: a 3.5‑inch full‑color display, Bluetooth app connectivity, Apple Find My tracking, LED lights with turn signals and brake indicators, IPX6 waterproofing (IPX7 battery), and support for payloads up to 500 lb including cargo or pets. Priced at $2,399, it is available in multiple colors via Velotric’s authorized dealer network.
