Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially joined the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), marking a significant move to strengthen its presence in the country’s growing EV sector. The announcement signals VinFast’s long-term commitment to sustainable mobility in Southeast Asia.

As a member of CAMPI, VinFast aims to collaborate with leading automakers and industry stakeholders to promote EV adoption, infrastructure development, and policy advocacy. The company believes that this partnership will accelerate the shift towards cleaner transportation solutions in the Philippines.

CAMPI, known as the premier automotive industry association in the country, plays a key role in shaping national transportation policies. VinFast’s inclusion will allow it to contribute to ongoing discussions around EV regulations, standards, and incentives aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.

Speaking on the development, VinFast Philippines CEO Nguyen Thi Van Anh said that joining CAMPI is aligned with the company’s goal of becoming a key driver of electric mobility in the region. She emphasized that collaboration with local stakeholders is crucial for fostering a supportive EV ecosystem.

VinFast has already introduced several EV models to the Philippine market, including passenger cars and e-scooters. The company is also exploring localized production and battery service infrastructure to further support the country’s clean mobility transition.

CAMPI officials welcomed VinFast’s entry, noting the company’s experience in advanced EV manufacturing and innovation. They believe VinFast will contribute significantly to ongoing efforts to expand sustainable transportation and reduce emissions across the nation.

As the Philippines works to meet its climate targets and modernize its vehicle fleet, VinFast’s partnership with CAMPI is expected to play a vital role in shaping the country’s EV future—through innovation, collaboration, and a shared commitment to sustainability.
