Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast has officially introduced its VF 6 electric SUV to the Indonesian market, marking a significant step in the company’s regional expansion strategy. The VF 6, a B-segment SUV, is available in two trims: Eco and Plus, priced at IDR 384,995,000 and IDR 439,600,000 respectively. Deliveries are expected to commence in June 2025.

To attract early adopters, VinFast is offering a range of incentives for orders placed before June 30, 2025. These include a cashback of IDR 20,000,000, free charging at VinFast’s V-GREEN stations until March 1, 2028, and accessory packages valued at IDR 13,345,000. These offers aim to enhance the appeal of the VF 6 among Indonesian consumers.

The VF 6 is designed to cater to urban commuters, young families, and entrepreneurs. It measures 4,241 mm in length, 1,834 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,730 mm, offering interior space comparable to C-segment vehicles. The Eco trim features a 130 kW (174 hp) electric motor with 250 Nm of torque, delivering a range of up to 480 km per charge under NEDC standards. The Plus trim offers a 150 kW (201 hp) motor with 310 Nm of torque and a range of approximately 460 km.

Aesthetically, the VF 6 showcases a modern European design developed by Torino Design, featuring VinFast’s signature wing-shaped LED lighting, dual chrome accents, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior includes a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a multifunction D-cut steering wheel, and 18 customizable driving modes. Safety features encompass an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with 22 standard functions, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto Lane Change Assist, and a 360-degree camera system.

VinFast is also expanding its presence in Indonesia through partnerships with local dealers and service providers, aiming to establish 21 showrooms across major cities like Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali. The company plans to develop 30,000 charging ports nationwide by the end of 2025. Additionally, VinFast offers a 7-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year unlimited mileage battery warranty, along with a buyback and trade-in program to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in their EV offerings.
