VinFast, a Vietnamese manufacturer of electric cars, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to use cutting-edge battery technology to develop environmentally responsible e-mobility. The company’s goal is to stay at the top of the rapidly evolving automotive industry by focusing on optimizing vehicles, forming strategic partnerships, and making significant expenditures in its facilities to increase internal knowledge.
To enhance its battery technology skills, VinFast has teamed with top businesses in the field, such as Gotion High-Tech for LFP technology, ProLogium for solid-state battery research, and StoreDot for incredibly fast charging solutions. The company has also invested $173.7 million in another project, the VinES Battery Manufacturing Facility in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, which has an initial manufacturing capacity of 100,000 battery packs yearly.
VinFast’s latest models, the VF 6 and VF 8 eSUVs, are proof of its commitment to sustainability. With a 59.6 kWh LFP battery, the VF 6 has a range of up to 410 kilometers on the WLTP cycle and can be charged quickly—in just 25 minutes, from 10% to 70%. Users have plenty of space because this model’s interior volume is maximized within its compact 4.25-meter length.
