Volvo Trucks has secured the position of market leader in Europe for heavy trucks, marking a significant achievement in the company’s history. In 2024, the Swedish manufacturer registered 56,331 trucks across key European markets, achieving a market share of 17.9%. Major contributors to this success included the UK, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, expressed pride in this accomplishment, highlighting the company’s commitment to fuel efficiency, safety, and vehicle uptime. He emphasized that Volvo’s strong product offering has resonated with customers, ensuring trust and loyalty.
A key factor in this success was the introduction of the new FH Aero series in 2024. Available with electric, gas, and diesel powertrains, the FH Aero quickly became a popular choice among transport companies. Volvo’s focus on sustainability and CO2 reduction further bolstered its market presence.
Alm extended his gratitude to customers, dealers, and suppliers, acknowledging their role in the company’s rise to the top. He also recognized the contribution of Volvo’s employees, who helped drive the company’s vision of providing business-enhancing and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
This achievement underscores Volvo’s ability to lead the market with innovative, high-performance trucks while also addressing the growing demand for sustainable transportation in the industry.
