XCharge, a global leader in integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, unveiled its latest innovation the Net Zero Series (NZS) battery-integrated DC fast charger at the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) 2025 in Abu Dhabi. Presented in collaboration with Powertech Mobility, the showcase took place at Stand 716 in Hall 3 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from April 21 to 23. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the NZS’s features through dedicated video displays and interactive QR code access.

The NZS represents a significant advancement in EV charging technology, featuring a 233kWh lithium-ion battery pack, expandable to 466kWh. This configuration allows the charger to deliver up to 210kW of output power, ensuring high-speed, reliable EV charging even in areas with limited grid infrastructure. The integrated energy storage system enables operators to store electricity during off-peak periods and utilize it during peak demand, optimizing energy costs and supporting grid stability.

A standout feature of the NZS is its bidirectional energy flow capability, known as Battery-to-Grid (B2G). This function allows the charger to supply stored energy back to the grid during peak demand, enhancing overall system reliability. Additionally, the NZS is compatible with photovoltaic (PV) systems, enabling the integration of solar energy to further reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy use.

The NZS is designed with versatility in mind, featuring a compact footprint and an all-in-one design that simplifies installation. Its 19-inch touch screen interface, active thermal cooling, and dual connectors capable of simultaneous charging make it suitable for various environments, including properties with limited power, fueling stations, remote locations, commercial centers, and bus and truck depots.

Smart energy management is at the core of the NZS, offering multiple operational modes such as Max Mode, Eco Mode, User Defined Mode, Power Reserve Mode, and Battery-Grid Mode. These modes allow operators to tailor charging and discharging preferences based on local grid conditions, energy pricing, and specific operational needs, thereby maximizing efficiency and revenue.

XCharge’s introduction of the Net Zero Series at EVIS 2025 underscores the company’s commitment to advancing sustainable EV charging solutions. By integrating high-capacity energy storage, bidirectional capabilities, and smart energy management, the NZS sets a new standard for fast, flexible, and eco-friendly EV charging infrastructure.
