Continuing to add a pleasurable riding experience Yamaha Motor introduced the refreshed, feature-packed, 2023 lineup of its 125 CC scooter range. It includes the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid, and Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid.

Strengthening India’s vision of reducing carbon emissions, the 2023 version of Yamaha’s 125 cc Hybrid scooter range is now equipped with E20 fuel-compliant engine. The fuel-compliant agent delivers the same signature Yamaha performance with significantly lower emissions. This new engine is now OBD2 compliant. It helps track data vital to the engine’s health and performance in real-time, which further helps elevate the user’s experience.

The entire 125 cc Hybrid scooter range is powered by Yamaha’s revolutionary Bluetooth Enabled Y-Connect App. It delivers the utmost performance monitoring and controls right to the palm of the rider. While setting a new standard for two-wheelers, the Yamaha Y-Connect App provides a host of convenient features, including a Fuel Consumption Tracker, Maintenance Recommendations, Last Parking Location, Malfunction Notification, Revs Dashboard, Rider Ranking, and more.

Yamaha’s new 2023, 125 cc Hybrid scooter range is powered by a BS-VI OBD2 & E-20 fuel compliant, air-cooled, fuel injected (FI), 125 cc blue core engine that produces a power output of 8.2 PS 6,500 RPM and a torque of 10.3 N.M 5,000 RPM. This 125 Fi Hybrid engine encompasses Yamaha’s international research and development, which focuses on improving performance in every aspect of riding a two-wheeler. This Hybrid engine includes a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System, which has been carefully tailored to supplement the riding pleasure of a scooter.

The Intelligent Power Assist feature, based on Yamaha’s true hybrid technology, delivers an additional thrust utilising the SMG system that doubles up as an electric motor. This gives additional linear power when the rider accelerates from a stop, reducing the wobble during start-outs in tandem riding or uphill climbs, promoting more confident riding. The 125 Fi Hybrid engine continues to feature all class-leading features as standard, including the “Automatic Stop & Start system” that prevents engine idling and starts with a single throttle twist and the In-built Side stand engine cut-off switch for added safety.

With the launch of the 2023 variants of the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid & Ray ZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid, Yamaha aims to cater to a wide range of target customers. At the same time, the Ray ZR accentuates the Real Boys’ Scooter concept by balancing the deeply sculpted masculine appeal with a sense of speed.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Eishin Chihana, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, said, “Under the Call of the Blue brand campaign, it is our endeavor to offer an exceptional experience to our customers. The scooter segment is getting quite competitive in India and customers have much higher expectations from the brands. As a leading two-wheeler brand in India, our commitment goes beyond motorcycles and that’s what we have tried to deliver with the 2023 version of our 125cc Hybrid scooter range. The addition of the Y-Connect app is a big step towards providing vital, driving-related information to our customers allowing them to take true charge of their riding patterns. On the other hand, colors reflect a rider’s persona and with the additions of new and exciting colors, there are now new ways for our customers to flaunt their style. That’s Yamaha’s commitment and we’ll continue to bring such exciting upgrades in our models in the future as well to meet the expectations of our customers in India.”

He further said, “While we continue to formulate strategies to fulfill the increasing expectations of our scooter customers, we also have a big responsibility to provide a carbon-neutral future for mobility. We are glad to announce that from today the entire 125cc scooter line-up of Yamaha in India is E-20 fuel and OBD2 compliant. This is a significant step towards our goal of achieving carbon neutrality. We will continue to work towards developing eco-friendly products capable of running on cleaner and greener fuels and which can further contribute to reducing carbon emissions.”
