Global courier and delivery service Borzo (previously WeFast) has teamed up with Zero Carbon Transportation (Zecat) to use electric cars for last-mile dispatches.
Borzo will be able to convert its Delhi-NCR fleet of 10% to electric cars within the next two months due to the collaboration, according to a statement.
The first batch of electric cars from Borzo, which is kicking off its EV plans through this collaboration, have been distributed in Delhi. Over the coming months, the company plans to quadruple the size of the EV fleet.
With the aim of converting 20% of its inventory to EVs, the business intends to extend its electric vehicle fleet activities to additional metropolitan regions across the nation.
Hyper-local deliveries will become more dependable, effective, and environmentally friendly thanks to the new EVs. The transportation team of Borzo presently consists of over 50,000 active courier associates.
More electric two-wheelers will occasionally be leased by Zecat from Borzo, who will then sublease them to its delivery workers. Through this joint venture, Borzo will progressively switch to electric transportation. Both businesses are working to make the creation of a safer, better world a success because they both share this positive goal.
According to Panfilov, the new EV fleet was not only technologically cutting-edge but also ecologically favorable, ensuring dependable, effective, and quick deliveries. According to Panfilov, he hopes to increase EV activities in other Indian towns and convert 20% of the country’s vehicles to EVs this year.
