TVS Motor Company has officially introduced the updated 2026 version of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, bringing several important feature upgrades aimed at improving rider safety, comfort, and overall performance. The latest update focuses on adding premium technology across more variants, making the motorcycle more competitive in the 160cc performance segment.
One of the biggest highlights of the 2026 upgrade is the addition of a Class-D projector headlamp with LED DRLs across the lineup. Earlier, this feature was limited to the top variant, but now it is available in more models. The motorcycle also gets a full LED lighting setup including LED indicators to improve visibility and road presence, especially during night riding.
TVS has also introduced the Assist and Slipper Clutch technology in additional variants. This system helps riders experience smoother gear shifts and better control during aggressive downshifting. The upgrade is designed to improve everyday riding comfort while also enhancing performance-focused riding experience.
In terms of variants, the 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V continues to be offered in three trims including Single Channel ABS, Dual Channel ABS with USD suspension, and a top variant featuring TFT display and traction control. The higher variants also include adjustable levers and TVS SmartXonnect connectivity features such as navigation and call alerts.
Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged and continues to use the proven 159.7cc oil-cooled engine delivering strong performance in its category. The bike also offers three ride modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain – allowing riders to adjust performance based on riding conditions.
The new 2026 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is now available across India with a starting ex-showroom price of around ₹1.25 lakh. With these feature additions and technology upgrades, TVS aims to strengthen Apache’s position as a performance-focused motorcycle for young and enthusiast riders.
