National Sustainable Solutions Logistics (NSSL) has announced a major expansion of its electric vehicle fleet by adding new Orange EV electric yard trucks across logistics hubs in North America.
The move is part of NSSL’s continued commitment to decarbonize its supply chain operations and enhance sustainability efforts within industrial freight and yard management sectors. The company has already seen operational success with earlier Orange EV deployments.
The latest expansion will significantly increase NSSL’s electric fleet, with dozens of Orange EV shunt trucks now operating at key distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada. These zero-emission trucks are designed to replace traditional diesel yard vehicles.
Orange EV’s electric trucks offer a quieter, cleaner alternative with lower maintenance and fuel costs. NSSL stated that the transition has not only cut emissions but has also improved worker health and operational efficiency at high-traffic sites.
NSSL leadership emphasized the strategic importance of the shift, citing growing customer demand for greener logistics solutions. “Sustainability is no longer optional—it’s essential,” said NSSL CEO Carla Jennings. “This is a major milestone in our journey to net-zero.”
With logistics accounting for a large portion of transportation emissions, NSSL’s investment reflects a broader industry trend toward electric and alternative-fuel fleets. The company plans to further scale its clean fleet over the next two years.
