At Auto Shanghai 2025, Honda unveiled the GAC Honda GT and Dongfeng Honda GT, the latest additions to its exclusive Chinese electric vehicle lineup, the 烨 (yè) Series. These flagship models represent Honda’s commitment to the Chinese market and its strategic focus on electrification.

Both GT models feature a “low & wide” silhouette, embodying distinct design philosophies. The GAC Honda GT presents a seamless, sophisticated aesthetic, while the Dongfeng Honda GT offers an emotionally charged, stimulating design. These designs aim to provide customers with a new sensation of driving pleasure.

Inside, the vehicles are equipped with innovative features tailored for personalized in-car experiences. The driver’s seat is designed to mimic a racing cockpit, enhancing the dynamic driving sensation. The front passenger benefits from a far-focus display, engineered to evoke the feel of a large screen, enhancing entertainment during the journey.

Honda’s collaboration with Chinese partners extends beyond vehicle design. The company announced co-development of advanced driver assistance technologies with Momenta, a Chinese firm specializing in AI-driven smart driving technologies. Additionally, Honda plans to utilize DeepSeek AI technologies to further enhance its vehicles’ capabilities.

These strategic partnerships aim to accelerate Honda’s electrification efforts in China, the world’s largest automotive market. By integrating cutting-edge technology and collaborating with local firms, Honda seeks to meet the evolving demands of Chinese consumers and strengthen its position in the EV sector.

The introduction of the GAC and Dongfeng GT models marks a significant milestone in Honda’s journey toward sustainable mobility. As the company continues to innovate and expand its electric vehicle offerings, it reaffirms its commitment to delivering advanced, customer-centric solutions in the rapidly growing Chinese EV market.
