Ola Electric has unveiled its latest electric scooter lineup, the S1 X series, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible and appealing to the mass market. The series includes three variants with different battery capacities: 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh, offering ranges of 95 km, 143 km, and 190 km respectively. Prices start at an introductory Rs 69,999 for the 2 kWh model, going up to Rs 99,999 for the 4 kWh variant.
Performance-wise, the S1 X scooters are equipped with a 6 kW motor, enabling the 4 kWh and 3 kWh models to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 90 km/h. The 2 kWh variant achieves 0 to 40 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 85 km/h. All models come with three riding modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—to cater to different riding preferences .
A significant highlight of the S1 X series is the complimentary 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty, addressing consumer concerns about battery longevity. Customers can further extend this warranty to 1,00,000 km for Rs 4,999 or to 1,25,000 km for Rs 12,999 . This move underscores Ola Electric’s commitment to providing long-term value and peace of mind to its customers.
To enhance the ownership experience, Ola Electric is expanding its service and charging infrastructure. The company plans to increase its service centers to over 600 across India and expand its fast-charging network from the current 1,000 to 10,000 stations by the next quarter. Additionally, a portable 3 kW fast charger is available for purchase at Rs 29,999, offering convenience for home charging .
The S1 X series also reintroduces the physical key feature, catering to customer preferences for traditional security measures. The scooters are available in seven color options, including dual-tone finishes like Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain White, and Liquid Silver . This variety allows customers to choose a scooter that matches their personal style.
With the launch of the S1 X series, Ola Electric is positioning itself to capture a significant share of India’s growing electric two-wheeler market. By offering a combination of affordability, performance, extended warranty, and expanded infrastructure, the company aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the country.
