EV Connect, a leading U.S.-based charge point operator (CPO), has partnered with ChargeHub to integrate nearly 15,000 new public charging ports into the Passport Hub, North America’s premier EV roaming platform. This collaboration significantly enhances the accessibility of EV charging infrastructure across the United States and Canada.

With this integration, EV Connect’s network becomes accessible through numerous e-mobility service providers (eMSPs), including the widely used ChargeHub app. This expansion increases Passport Hub’s total to over 140,000 compatible charging ports, covering approximately 78% of CCS and J1772 networked stations, thereby simplifying the charging experience for millions of EV drivers.

Cassie Layton, Vice President of Strategy and Marketing at EV Connect, emphasized the importance of this development: “Roaming is no longer a nice-to-have. It is essential infrastructure for EV adoption.” She highlighted that the partnership extends the reach of EV Connect’s network and provides site hosts with access to a broader customer base, ultimately driving increased utilization of charging stations.

Simon Ouellette, CEO of ChargeHub, welcomed EV Connect to the Passport Hub, stating that this addition reflects the strong momentum behind their mission. He noted that each new partner brings them closer to achieving comprehensive roaming coverage, enhancing the reliability and scalability of EV charging infrastructure across North America.

The partnership between EV Connect and ChargeHub underscores a shared commitment to accelerating EV adoption by making public charging more accessible and straightforward for all stakeholders. By streamlining roaming capabilities and increasing charger availability, they aim to shape a more connected and efficient future for electric transportation.

This collaboration is part of a broader industry trend toward interoperability and user-friendly charging solutions, addressing common barriers to EV adoption and supporting the growth of sustainable transportation networks.
