Toyota Motor Corporation has announced the upcoming launch of the bZ Woodland, a new all-electric SUV designed specifically for the North American market. Scheduled to debut at a dedicated event hosted by Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) from May 19 to 21, the bZ Woodland is expected to go on sale in early 2026.
The bZ Woodland is equipped with a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing an estimated range of approximately 260 miles in its all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. The vehicle supports the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and features Plug & Charge capability, allowing for seamless charging experiences. Under ideal conditions, DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
Designed with outdoor enthusiasts in mind, the bZ Woodland boasts a combined system output of 375 horsepower through dual electric motors and standard AWD. It offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance, a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds, and over 30 cubic feet of rear cargo space. Additional features include a panoramic view monitor with a multi-terrain monitor and available all-terrain tires.
The SUV’s exterior showcases Toyota’s new “hammerhead” front design with a full-length LED light bar, black overfenders, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. A standard roof rack enhances its utility for outdoor adventures.
Inside, the bZ Woodland offers a spacious and modern cabin with a large touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters to adjust regenerative braking levels. The vehicle also includes battery pre-conditioning to optimize charging performance in various climates.
The introduction of the bZ Woodland aligns with Toyota’s multi-pathway approach to achieving carbon neutrality, expanding its battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup to cater to diverse customer needs. This model joins Toyota’s existing BEV offerings, including the bZ4X and the C-HR, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions.
