In a strategic move to boost EV infrastructure, IndoFast and Motovolt have announced a partnership to roll out the MVS7 battery swapping network across India. The collaboration aims to strengthen last-mile connectivity and electrification of urban mobility.
Motovolt will supply its battery-swapping tech, while IndoFast will oversee deployment and scaling. The MVS7 model offers fast, secure, and intelligent battery exchanges for e-mobility users, reducing downtime and operational costs for fleet operators.
The partnership will initially focus on metro cities, with plans to expand into Tier 2 and 3 locations. The MVS7 system is tailored for e-bikes and e-rickshaws, sectors seeing rapid EV adoption due to affordability and efficiency.
This rollout supports India’s goals of achieving a robust EV ecosystem and aligns with the government’s FAME II initiative to support cleaner transport alternatives and battery tech innovation.
The companies also announced plans for real-time tracking and app-based swapping features, enhancing convenience for users and ensuring battery availability through a connected IoT platform.
Executives from both companies emphasized that this initiative marks a significant leap toward scalable, sustainable, and accessible EV infrastructure in India’s growing e-mobility space.
